ADIDAS ORIGINALS: The Adidas brand was officially born on August 18, 1949 by Adolf Dassler, but the company's origins can be traced back to 1924 when Adolf and Rudolf Dassler, his brother, founded the Dassler brothers shoe factory. In 1947 due to continuous disagreements, which had already arisen during the Second World War, the two brothers split, giving life to two separate companies:Adolf coined the Adidas brand, taking a cue from his nickname Adi, and Rudolf the Puma brand. After the official birth of the 3-stripe brand, from the 1950s Adidas has represented the shoe of athletes. In the 1970s the legendary Trefoil logo was born, a change given by the rapid technological progression of shoes and design aesthetics. Subsequently, in the 90s, Adidas introduced the Equipment brand with an additional logo, giving life to a new line focused on performance and design precision conceived to meet the needs of athletes in different contexts. To date, Adidas is not simply a sportswear brand. In fact, it has established itself as a streetwear brand par excellence where sustainability and the protection of the planet have become an increasingly important priority.
