As the global crisis was taking hold in everyone's daily life, a Parisian artisan decided to protest in his own way with a brand called Bastille, in homage to the French Revolution of 1789, shortly before emigrating to Formentera, one of the Balearic Islands. Bastille was indeed launched in 2010.
The craftsman, known to the hippies, met a young Italian designer during a trip to Tokyo and they began working on their first collection. Since then, they haven't stopped. What makes the brand sought after are the "local t-shirts," which represent indomitable personalities like Jim Morrison and Gandhi.
They are synonymous with ideals such as freedom and revolution, as the soul of the name BASTILLE.
Whether it's a slight variation in color tones or a small detail that makes a difference, each creation is absolutely unique and handmade. The two young designers remain true to the know-how of craftsmanship (they actually use Japanese teas to dye their pieces).
All pieces are designed worldwide and made in Italy.
